May is a special month, not only because the spring is in full swing, but also because HVG is at Beernanza with lots of information about premium EU-certified aroma hops from Germany. After all, hops are one of the most important ingredients in beer. As if that is not reason enough to visit booth E6/E7, HVG will be giving away free beer from Germany to all attendants of Beernanza.
Beernanza is probably the largest beer festival in Shanghai. Held for the fourth time, it features beer from over 20 countries. The event is held in association with Shanghai Craft Brewers Association. Thus, expect to see and taste a lot of innovative craft beer from China and around the world. If you are interested in brewing beer, you can sign up for classes and learn how to become a craft beer brewer yourself. Make sure to visit the HVG booth to discover the latest premium aroma hops from Germany.
In addition to many types of beer, there is plenty of international food to taste. Dozens of tents will feature games and entertainment. Several stages will provide a space for DJs, and musicians.
One musical highlight will be the Funky Teppanyaki gig. Here, DJ B.O. works with percussionist “Uncle” Dave Hampson to create funky beats, meshing the flexibility of a DJ with the thrill of live music. They will be joined at Beernanza with an truely unique line-up of talented performers, including Beatbox Bachka from Mongolia, MC Spencer and Mac on sax.
The event will take place at the green space behind the Okura Garden Hotel at 58 Maoming Nan Lu. Entance fee: 50 RMB.
